Nissan recalls about 643,000 Rogue SUVs in the US due to powertrain defects that could cause loss of drive and fire risk
One recall affects ~319,000 Rogues with possible throttle body gear breakage, risking sudden loss of power
Another recall covers ~324,000 Rogues with engine bearing issues that may leak hot oil and spark engine fires
NHTSA says both defects could lead to loss of drive power and increased crash or fire hazards
Dealers will reprogram engine software and replace faulty components free of charge
Affected owners will receive recall notices starting March 27, 2026, Nissan said
The dual recalls are aimed at preventing serious safety risks tied to engine and transmission failures
